The Galladoria Game's City Dock Kit is a resin multipiece miniatures set, suitable for creating docks for any town, village, or part of the city. The set comes with eight docks (in three sculptures), a ramp, four lamps, two barrels, two sacks, two crates, two baskets, and two ropes. I'm not sure if the baskets and ropes are unique to this set, but I've seen the barrels and crates in other Galladoria Games terrain sets, such as the Crown N Laurel Tavern, and Mimic Invasion Kit. The set is available unpainted and hand-unpainted. Overall, I found the Dock Kit to be not just easy to paint, but a fast paint job. If you have the Reaper Dreadmere miniatures, many fisherman and other residents from this set are a good fit with the dock kit. While thematically for fantasy gaming, the docks can be used for, say, a rural area or authentic dock tourist-trap.
The eight dock pieces are 2x2 squares, and can be arranged in a variety of ways, from a busy city cross, to several small one-boat docks. The pieces are easy to paint, with Army Painter's Leather Brown spray primer, and Strong Tone Quickshade. The accessories (baskets, rope, crates) add atmosphere to the docks, and the lamps some optional nighttime skulduggery. Good job, Galladoria Games!
Based on my satisfaction with the Mimics Kickstarter Galladoria did last year I thought I would give their docks a try.
They sure didn't disappoint! clean clear castings, fantastic level of detail and a joy to paint. All of the little accessories really help to bring the docks to life and when painted up the whole thing just looks great. Excellent value for money and a worthy addition to my table. Really glad I ordered two :)
Just got these in and out of the box. They look fabulous! My youngest couldn't wait to start building with them. She decided I wasn't unpacking fast enough and took over removing the dock pieces from their plastic while I worked on the lamps. She took them all away from me the second we were done so she could start building.
Some of your finest work to date. A huge upgrade from your original design ( I still like the original ones too ).
