Rock Wurm is best wurm!

The Rock Wurm is a large resin figure by Galladorian Games, previously known as Forge Prints. The Rock Wurm is a 28mm figure that is about twice the height of a 28mm human-sized figure, and works well as a purple worm, or other huge wormlike burrowing creature. I also found it to be a very good miniature for new painters to work with.
Resin: The miniature is made of resin. If you're only familiar with plastic miniatures, resin is a material used for miniatures that have a smaller print run, such as those by non-boardgame miniature companies. While resin has reputation as being more brittle than plastic, resins vary more than plastics in their brittleness and fragility. Preparation for resins are usually easier than plastic (and metal), since their mold lines are easier to file or sand down. Also, larger pieces without small tiny pieces, such as the Rock Wurm are particularly easy to work with. I found it easier to remove the mold lines (and fill in gaps) of the Rock Worm than plastic and metal.

Priming: Because resin mixtures vary, even within a manufacture, resin miniatures can also vary in their ability for primer to adhere to. The Vallejo Game Color brush-on primer I used tended to bead, although I didn't try a spray primer. All miniatures should be washed with dishwasher soap, but resin miniatures can also be cleaned with toothbrush paste (!) to "roughen" up the surface and allow primer to adhere better.
